The masks are being prepared using high quality cotton material, by tailoring cooperative units under the department.<br />''<br />''The minister also pointed out that Tamil Nadu has made giant strides in ensuring social security for transgenders. Dr Saroja said that 4500 out of the total 6000 transgenders identified in the state have already been issued photo identity cards.<br />''Dr Saroja pointed out that the cooperative units had earlier efficiently manufactured two lakh face masks and this naturally led to a bigger order.</span><br />
