<span style="color: #222222;">Tamil Nadu is consistently reporting over 1500 Covid cases for the past few days. Principal health secretary Dr. Radhakrishnan speaking to the media said that people have to avoid public gatherings at all costs. Expressing concern on the increase in cases in  Chennai and Thanjavur, he said that 300 more beds will be added at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in Chennai to meet the demand. He said that people were visiting the hospital for all types of symptoms of Covid 19 and it was difficult to rate the intensity of the infection. Radhkrishnan said  that Covid has increased in Thanjavur College where 52 students were found to be Covid positive.</span><br />
