In Tamil Nadu, the Regional Met Department has predicted that light rains would continue in some southern districts today. Earlier due to the prediction of Cyclone Hamoon, distant warning signals number one was hoisted in the ports of Chennai, Cuddalore, and Nagapattinam, and Number two signals in Kattupalli, Pamban, and Tuticorin. Now that the cyclone has crossed, the warning has been lifted. Theni, Thanjavur, Coimbatore, Ramanathapuram, Virudhunagar and Tuticorin districts witnessed rains amounting from one cm to five cm yesterday.<br />
