<span style="color: #222222;">Tamil Nadu has received a marginally higher amount of rainfall during the North East Monsoon season this year so far. A statistics on rainfall by the India Meteorological Centre, Chennai says, the state has received 45 centimeter rainfall till yesterday against the whole season's average of 44 centimeter. The state witnesses the monsoon from mid-October to December end every year.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, the Meteorology Department director Puviyarasan told reporters in Chennai, an upper air circulation has been observed over southern Tamil Nadu. He said, it may trigger moderate to heavy rain at isolated places in Thanjavur, Tiruvarur and Nagappattinam districts for the next 24-hours. Light to moderate rain is predicted over many other places in southern Tamil Nadu.</span><br />
