In Tamil Nadu, the AIADMK Supremo J. Jayalalithaa on Wednesday announced the party constituencies and candidates for the up coming Tamil Nadu assembly elections. With the issue of sharing of seats with the ally MDMK not reaching an agreement, the AIADMK went ahead and announced the constituencies. According to the announcement, the party supremo Ms.Jayalalithaa would be contesting from Srirangam Constituency. As of now, the AIADMK has shared 41 with DMDK. The CPI has been offered 10 seats and CPM has been given 12 seats. Manitha neya makkal katchi has been given three. The puthiya Thamilagam and all India samathuva makkal katchi led by actor sarath kumar has been offered two each. Other minor allies of the front, the republican party of India, all India moovendar munnetra kazhagam all have been offered one each. The DMK has shared 63 with congress, 30 with PMK, ten to VCK, seven to Kongu makkal munnetra Kazhagam three to IUML and one each to Moovendar Munnetra Kazhagam and perunthalaivar munnetra Kazhagam. The DMK which will be contesting from 119 constituencies will be announcing its constituencies and candidates on Thursday.Meanwhile, MDMK spokesperson Nanmaran said that there is no place for the party in the alliance. He said MDMK will take a decision on future course of action on Saturday at a high level committee meeting.
