The Tamil Nadu Government is organizing a one day workshop for doctors working in private hospitals in Chennai on treating patients affected by swine flu. Speaking to AIR Chennai correspondent, the principal secretary health Mr. V. K. Suburaj said this would be second training on swine flu for doctors working in the private sector. He confirmed that an assistant public relations officer of the state government died of swine flu in Chennai on Friday. He said, delay in getting treatment for swine flu had resulted in the death. Stating that at present 6 persons three each in Coimbatore and Chennai are undergoing treatment for swine flu , Mr. Suburaj urged people to be alert and look out for symptoms of the flu. He said the government has established 15 testing centres where the public could go and test themselves for HIN1. He said sufficient dosage of the nasal vaccines and injections were available in the all State-run hospitals.
