<span style="color: #222222;">The Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam has presented a nearly 2.41 lakh crore rupees state budget. He presented the budget in the state Legislative Assembly at Fort St. George in Chennai this morning. He said the state has clocked a growth rate of 7.27 per cent and expressed confidence that the figure would increase further in the current year. The net revenue receipts has been estimated to be 2.19 crore rupees. He said the net debt of the state by the end of the current financial year would be 4-lakh, 56-thousand and 660 crore rupees. He said the debt would be well within the permitted level.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Mr Panneerselvam announced that crop loan of 11-thousand crore rupees would be given to farmers next year through cooperatives. 10-thousand two hundred and seventy six new police personnel would be recruited next year. He announced that 17,500 new solar pump sets have been approved by the Centre for distribution.
