<span style="color: #222222;">In Tamil Nadu, Medical Safety Kit for front line field workers in the fight against COVID-19 has been developed indigenously by the medical team of National Institute of Technology, Trichy. The first set of kits were distributed in Trichy, at an event presided over by its Director Prof. Mini Shaji Thomas. The event was conducted following all precautionary measures including social distancing norms, usage of face mask by all participants and strict maintenance of hand hygiene.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Each Medical Safety Kit contains immunity boosting multi-vitamin supplements, zinc and vitamin C tablets as recommended by the Tamil Nadu Health Department. The kit also includes ORS packets that can be used by the employees to re-hydrate themselves while working in the hot weather conditions. Additionally, a set of reusable cotton face covers are also included in the kit.</span><br />''  <br />
