The Indian Naval base INS Rajali at Arakkonam near Vellore in Tamil Nadu has said it has gathered ideas and avenues for setting up a 'Maintenance, Repair and Overhauling' unit in its premises. It organized a two-day workshop on the 'Sustenance of Maritime Reconnaissance Aircraft fleet Through Self Reliance' last Friday. The workshop coincided with the three decades of its maritime reconnaissance service and was led by Vice Admiral Puneet Kumar Bahl, Commandant of the Indian Naval Academy.<br />''<br />'' It has said in a release, fifteen papers were presented during the workshop from reputed foreign original equipment manufacturers, defence public sector units, and reputed organizations like Boeing and General Atomics. Vice Admiral Puneet Kumar Bahl urged the foreign original equipment manufacturers to tap domestic industry. He asked for developing a joint work model for the sustenance of the aircraft fleet.<br />''<br />
