<span style="color: #222222;">Nagapattinam district in Tamil Nadu has implemented a number of schemes to ensure availability of agricultural inputs for farmers, against the background of Covid-19 pandemic.<br />'' <br />'' More than 2000 metric tonnes of urea and close to 1400 metric tonnes of potash have been made available through co operative and private fertiliser godowns in the district.<br />'' <br />'' The godown authorities and workers have been instructed to supply fertilisers only using Point of Sales (PoS) machines. They have also been warned against resorting to any sort of unfair trade practices.<br />'' <br />'' It is specially notable that a mobile fertiliser supply depot has been started in the remote Sirkazhi region of the district.</span><br />''  <br />
