In Tamil Nadu, State health Minister M.Subramanian has appealed to everyone to follow Covid appropriate behaviour at all times and get two doses of vaccines as soon as possible. Speaking at the Kings Institute after celebrating Pongal today, he said that the Government has taken all possible steps to contain the pandemic at all costs with extra facilities at all Government and referral hospitals in the State.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Micro management of hot spots and tele counselling methods have been increased to handle the situation. Reiterating that people should be aware of the pandemic during the Pongal season, he said that those having symptoms like cold, cough and fever should get themselves tested immediately. Over 93 lakh people have received the second dose in the State till now.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Health Minister said that the State has requested Centre to accede permission to admit 50 students in AIIMS Madurai and also added that the Centre should start medical colleges in the newly formed six districts in the State.
