Tamil Nadu govt will not hike price of bus fare

Tamil Nadu Government will not hike the price of bus fare in tune with the fuel price hike, even though the State Transport Corporation is facing a loss of 150 crore rupees. State Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi pointed out that it is because of the interference of the parties like DMK that the huge rate of price hike planned earlier was limited to this level. He was addressing a press meet in Coimbatore today. To a question about his retirement from politics, he clarified that he didn’t have any plan of retirement right now. He adds that the World Classical Tamil Conference held in Coimbatore was a grand success. He said that this conference will be held frequently in the places all over the world wherever the tamil population is concentrated and it will be held in Tamil Nadu once in 5 years. <br/>
