The Tamilnadu Chief Minister Mr. M. Karunanidhi today said that the State Government is prepared to spend any amount for educational purposes. Speaking at the inauguration of a new building at one of the oldest institution at Chennai, the famous Queen Mary’ College today, Mr. Karunanidhi recalled the strenuous efforts of the late Chief Minister Kamaraj in providing noon meal scheme and access to education for children from all walks of life. The Chief Minister assured that priority would be given to the education of girl children. Commenting on the duty of the Government in paying tuition fees to the first generation students in Professional education, he said that the scheme has become popular among the students.
