Tamil Nadu govt implements Smart Black Board scheme in 80,000 govt schools

Tamil Nadu government is implementing the Smart Black Board scheme in 80,000 government schools to ensure better teaching environment.<br />'' <br />'' State School Education Minister K A Senkottaiyan told press persons in Trichy today that the Smart Black Board scheme envisages usage of audio visual teaching material that can be fed into the computer screens in classes using widely available pen drives.<br />'' <br />'' The minister further said that the Central Education Ministry's Smart Class Room scheme is being implemented in 7500 schools in the state.<br />'' <br />'' Responding to a question, Senkottaiyan revealed that against the back ground of Covid 19 pandemic schools have been instructed to cut down this year's portions by 40%.<br />'' <br />'' He said that detailed instructions in this regard are being conveyed to both government as well as private schools in the state.<br />'' <br />'' Senkottaiyan pointed out that at present there are 7500 teaching as well as 2400 non-teaching posts lying vacant in the state and that necessary steps for filling up these posts at the earliest are being taken.<br />
