<span style="color: #000000;">The Tamil Nadu Government has constituted a seven member committee led by Sultan Ahmed Ismail of the State Development Policy Council to study the exploration of hydrocarbon projects. The study will be conducted in areas other than the protected agricultural zone as the terms of reference has been revised. It will also assess the impact of drilling technologies like hydro fracturing on ground water and environment.</span><br />
