Tamil Nadu Governor Vidyasagar Rao has accepted the resignation of Panneerselvam and his council of ministers. Following the election of party General Secretary VK Sasikala who has been the long-time associate of late J.Jayalalithaa to the post by the ruling AIADMK MLAs yesterday afternoon, Mr Panneerselvam tendered his resignation. <br/><br/>A Raj Bhavan release says the Governor has asked him and his cabinet to continue to function until alternate arrangements are made. In the emergency MLAs meet of the ruling AIADMK yesterday, Mr O.Panneerselvam himself has recommended the name of Ms VK Sasikala as the Legislature Party leader. This is the third time he steps down from the post.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Supreme Court has said it will deliver its verdict in the disproportionate assets case against Ms Sasikala and others in a week.
