Tamil Nadu Deputy CM presents first supplementary budget estimate in state assembly

<span style="color: #222222;">The Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister O.Panneerselvam, who holds the finance portfolio presented the first supplementary budget estimate in the state assembly today. The estimates are for a sum of twelve thousand eight hundred and forty five crore rupees. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Panneerselvam said this is an unusual year in view of the Covid-19 pandemic, and informed that 9027 crore rupees are provided in the estimates for the control, prevention and relief of the viral disease. 988 crore rupees is sanctioned as the second instalment of the General Basic Grant of the 14th Finance Commission to the urban local bodies. The House approved the supplementary estimates by a voice vote.</span><br />
