Tamil Nadu crosses 2 lakh mark of COVID-19 cases

<span style="color: #222222;">In Tamil Nadu, the total caseload of COVID-19 has exceeded two lakh today with the confirmation of close to seven thousand new cases. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, the mortality rate is currently 1.64 per cent. The recovery rate is gradually increasing as 73 per cent of the infected people have come out of the disease. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Today, new infections as well as recovery figures have reached record numbers. There were 6,988 new cases and 7,758 recoveries, those who returned safely far outweigh the new infections. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Chennai's caseload has come down to 45 per cent of the State's total, which at one point of time accounted for more than two thirds of the caseload. The rate of increase is now more in other districts than the State Capital.</span><br />''
