Tamil Nadu crisis: Delegation meets President Ramnath Kovind

A delegation of opposition parties today met President Ramnath Kovind and said Tamil Nadu government led by E K Palanisamy has lost the confidence of the House. <br/><br/>They urged the President to direct the Governor to convene Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly to prove its majority. Anand Sharma of Congress, Tiruchy Siva, T K S Elangovan, Ms M K Kanimozhi of DMK, Sitaram Yechury of CPI-M and D Raja of CPI were part of the delegation. <br/><br/>Mr Anand Sharma told media that they have submitted a memorandum to the President. <br/><br/>Former Union Minister T K S Elangovan said that the President has assured the delegation, he will look into the issue.
