The record in Chennai is fast approaching the figure of 10,000 as 624 of the new cases are reported from the city. However, 363 people have been discharged from hospitals yesterday leaving the active caseload in the state at 7915. Five patients died of the disease taking the toll to 103. AIR correspondent reports that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswamy has said there is no community transmission of COVID-19 so far in the state.
