In Tamil Nadu, many corporates and small and medium enterprises have agreed to bear the expenses of administering precautionary doses of Covid vaccines for their staff.<br />'' <br />'' The Centre has reduced the time gap between the second dose of the vaccine and the precautionary dose from nine months to six months. The guidelines say that people in the age group of eighteen to fifty-nine should take the precautionary doses on payment from private hospitals. As the coverage of the precautionary doses among the working-age group is minimal, the state departments of health, industries, and SMEs jointly organized a consultation meeting with the representatives of the industry, hospitality, and trade in Chennai yesterday. The ministers of the departments asked the participant industrialists, hoteliers, and traders to sponsor the cost of the vaccines for their staff.<br />'' <br />'' Later, the state health minister Ma. Subramanian told reporters that the participants have agreed to pay for the precautionary doses of the Covid vaccines for their staff.
