<span style="color: #222222;">Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswamy today reviewed the preparedness of the state machinery to face the forthcoming North East Monsoon. Ministers of various departments concerned with the flood mitigation and senior officials took part in the meeting held in the Secretariat at Fort St.George in Chennai.<br />''<br />''Mr Palaniswamy said 4133 places have been identified as vulnerable areas for the flood. He said a 24-hour control centre has been established by the state revenue department in Chennai to monitor and coordinate the flood control measures.<br />''<br />''Inter-departmental teams have been formed in all the vulnerable places to respond to any challenges whenever required. 43,409 first responders have also been identified to warn the officials about any emergency and to help them. 5505 police personnel trained by the State Disaster Response Force have been deployed in all the districts to help in rescue efforts if the need arises. He said, Fire and Rescue personnel and volunteers have also been trained for the purpose.</span><br />
