Taminadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has been found guilty in the disproportionate assets case.
Advocate General Bhavani Singh of Karnataka State has confirmed this to AIR Bangalore correspondent.
A special court in Banglore today pronounced the verdict in the 18-year-old 66.65 crore rupees disproportionate assets case against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.
Ms Jayalalithaa appeared before the court amid tight security.
She is accompanied by her close aide Sasikala Natarajan, another accused in the case, besides Ilavarasi .
The other accused in the case is Jayalalithaa's disowned foster son V N Sudhakaran.
The disproportionate assets case against Jayalalithaa was transferred to Bangalore's Special Court in 2003 by the Supreme Court on a petition filed by DMK leader K Anbazhagan who had expressed doubts over conduct of fair trail in Tamil Nadu as Jayalalithaa ruled the state then.
