Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi Palaniswamy launches 2,000 mini-clinics

In Tamil Nadu, 2,000 mini-clinics have been launched today.<br />'' <br />''Chief minister Edappadi Palaniswamy inaugurated them at a function held in Chennai Monday morning.<br />'' <br />''He said, these clinics will serve the poorest of the poor even in the remotest parts of the state.<br />'' <br />''AIR Chennai correspondent reports, the new health facilities in the state have been named as the "Amma Mini-Clinics," where Amma is considered a reference to the late AIADMK leader J. Jayalalithaa. <br />'' <br />''Each clinic will be having a qualified doctor, a nurse and a medical attendant.<br />'' <br />''They will be equipped with the tools to attend to primary health issues and the state health department has said those who require further treatment would be sent to the nearby referral hospitals.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">It has said the medical services recruitment board is in the process of selecting additional doctors and paramedical staff to cater to the increasing requirements.</span><br />
