The Inter-Ministerial team, set up by the Centre to assess the damages caused by Cyclone Vardah in Tamil Nadu, will today undertake its final leg of tour to affected areas in Chennai, Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur districts. <br/><br/>The team began its two-day on-the-spot assessment of the damages yesterday. It met Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam and senior officials before beginning the inspections. The team will submit a report to the Union Home Ministry at the earliest after an in-depth study. The cyclone crossed the shores close to Chennai on 12th of this month, leaving a trail of destruction in the northern districts of the state.
