The Budget session of the Tamil Nadu assembly begins today. Finance Minister Mr. O. Paneerselvam will present the first full fledged budget of the ruling AIADMK, after the party captured power in the assembly elections held last year.AIR correspondent reports the budget announcements are expected to be in line with the Tamil Nadu Vision 2023 unveiled by Chief Minister Jayalalithaa recently. The session starts a week after the state government gave the go ahead to the Koodankulam nuclear power plant even as the state faces acute power shortage. The session is expected to be a stormy one with the Opposition is likely to take up the power cut issue and the standoff with Karnataka on the Cauvery water issue.
