<span style="color: #222222;">The Tamil Nadu assembly has been adjourned sine die. During the three day session, a total of 23 bills were passed including 18 bills today. Notable among them are the one to provide 7.5 percent reservation in undergraduate medical admission for the Government school students who qualified in the NEET. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The other bills include the conversion of the existing Anna University in Chennai, which is currently an affiliating institution, into a unitary university by the name "Anna Technological and Research University." It will carry out academic and research activities alone in its campuses. To carry forward the affiliating functions for the other engineering colleges in the state, a new institution by the name "Anna University" will be established in Chennai.&nbsp; Another bill seeks to extend the tenure of special officers of urban local bodies by another six months as their elections are due for long.</span><br />
