Tamil Nadu assembly adjourned for the day after obituary references

The three-day brief session of the Tamil Nadu Assembly began today in Chennai. After the House assembled at 10 am at Kalaivanar Hall, obituary references to pay homage to the 23 former members who passed away after the end of the last session were read by the Speaker P. Dhanapal.<br />'' <br />''Later, resolutions expressing condolences on the demise of the former President Pranab Mukherjee, sitting MLA J. Anbalagan of the DMK and sitting Lok Sabha Member and former member of the Assembly H. Vasantha Kumar of the Congress were passed. With that, the House was adjourned for the day.<br />'' <br />''For the next two days, the Assembly will commence at 10 am with the Question Hour. Debates on the NEET, Environment Impact Assessment Bill, The National Education Policy-2020 and a host of other issues are expected to take place.<br />
