The Tamil Nadu Assembly was today adjourned sine die after a 36 day budget session. On the last day, the house passed 12 bills including bills to Amend Anna University, Chennai and certain university laws.<br/><br/>Earlier, replying to the debate on demands for grants on public department, Tamil Development, the Finance Minister K.Anbhazagan said allocation for the MLA Local area development fund was being increased to 1.75 crores. He said the medical allowance for former MLA’s is being hiked to 10,000 ruppes.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports the budget session of the assembly was the first session in the newly built assembly complex which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.
