Tamil Nadu Health Department has announced the package rates for the state government staff and pensioners to avail Covid-19 treatment in private hospitals. Its order says the beneficiaries can get themselves admitted in empanelled hospitals for the purpose. If they are allowed in un-empanelled private hospitals, the insurance agency that administers the health insurance programme will make the permissible amount only to the hospital, as mentioned in the order.<br />'' <br />'' In another order, hotels and restaurants are permitted to run air conditioners subject to the safety protocols.<br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, in Tamil Nadu, the active caseload of Covid-19 remains 51.6 thousand as said in the state government media bulletin issued last evening. The total infection has increased to four lakh 57 thousand with 5870 people tested positive yesterday. They included new 965 cases in Chennai. The total recoveries have also gone up to three lakh ninety eight thousand. In the last twenty four hours, 5859 people recovered. 61 others succumbed to the disease taking the total case fatalities to 7748.<br />
