In Tamil Nadu, a batch of 962 workers belonging to various districts of the state were brought by Shramik Special train to the central city of Trichy this morning. These people were engaged in labour in the Maharashtra town of Sholapur, well-known for hand crafted, eco-friendly slippers. The workers brought to Trichy include, among others, 55 from Madurai, 29 from Trichy, 24 from Ariyaloor and 21 from Dindugul.<br />''<br />''The workers were taken to their native district by 30 special buses of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation from Trichy Junction Railway Station.They were provided with free food packets, drinking water and face masks by the concerned District Administration. Special efforts where taken to ensure social distancing norms and hygienic practices among the workers during the journey period.<br />
