Talks on between govt and Hazare

Back channel talks are on between the government and Anna Hazare group to break the deadlock on the Lokpal issue.Highly placed sources said that the Centre has sought the services of Additional Chief Secretary of Maharashtra U.C. Sarangi and the spiritual leader Baiyyuji Maharaj to hold talks with the civil society group to carry forward the dialogue. Baiyyuji Maharaj on Monday said in New Delhi that government is trying hard to find a solution to the issue. Describing the meeting with Anna Hazare as family talks Baiyyuji Maharaj said that he is studying both government and the draft prepared by the Anna Group and expressed hope that the differences of opinion can be sorted out. Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Harish Rawat has said that the dialogue with the civil society group is being held at various levels which is not parallel but complimentary to each other. The Parliamentary Standing Committee Chairman Abhishek Singhwi said that the panel is studying the civil society's version of the draft and all aspects will be looked into detail before making final recommendations to Parliament. Meanwhile, Anna Hazare continues his fast on the seventh day on Monday pressing for a strong Lokpal. He was medically examined on Monday morning and found fit but has lost five Kgs of weight. Hazare has made it clear that the group is open to talks.
