Talks for an extradition treaty between India and Pakistan are in the final stages. Minister of State for External Affairs M.J.Akbar gave this information in the Rajya Sabha today. <br/><br/>Presently India has extradition treaties with Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh. He stated that the government intends to conclude extradition treaties with as many countries as possible to ensure that fugitive criminals do not escape justice.
