In Nepal, talks between the government team led By Deputy Prime Minister Krishna Prasad Situala and representatives of the agitating Far west region was held in Kathmandu today. According to Deputy Prime Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula, who heads the three-member government talks team, said the talks were positive and said the demand will be put before the leaders of the main political parties.He said their demand can only be addressed by the new constitution. Chandradev Joshi, a member of the far-west talks team and CPN (United) Constituent Assembly member , said the talks ended inconclusively due to the government’s apathy to addressing their demand. The Far West Region has seen an indefinite bandh for more than two weeks affecting nine districts . They are protesting against the proposal for the division of the region.
