The Taliban has warned foreign forces that it is prepared for a long light. The warning from the Taliban comes only days after a fierce clash in the remote mountains of eastern Afghanistan that killed eight US soldiers. NATO said the Taliban had suffered "significantly higher losses than originally thought". Hundreds of Taliban militant fighters on Saturday launched a dawn raid on two Afghan army and NATO outposts.
