In Pakistan, hospital source have confirmed at least 21 people including 18 students have been killed and 30 injured, some of them critically, in a Taliban assault on an army-run school in the city of Peshawar. At least six militants wearing security uniforms entered the school, local officials said. A Taliban spokesman said the assault was in response to army offensive against the militants in North Waziristan.
