Taliban denounce Kabul meeting as sign of failure

Taliban has rejected Tuesday's international conference on Afghanistan held in Kabul, saying the vague and terrible agenda shows that the United States and its allies intend to abandon the country and blame their ultimate defeat on the Afghan government. In a statement posted on their website, the Taliban said the conference showed that the United States has lost the initiatives and is unable to resolve Afghanistan issue. The militant group has already rejected the peace and reconciliation offer made by Afghan government saying they will not enter into talks until foreign forces leave the country. Tuesday’s conference had decided to transfer the security responsibility to Afghan forces by 2014. Meanwhile, three foreign soldiers were killed on Wednesday in separate incidents of roadside bomb explosions in different parts of the country. A NATO statement did not specify the nationalities of those killed.
