Taliban commander is arrested by NATO-led forces

In Afghanistan, a Taliban commander has been arrested by Afghan and the NATO-led forces. A statement of the NATO led forces today said the militant was arrested during a joint operation in the southern Afghan province of Kandahar. However, it did not mention the name of the commander. Kandahar, a former stronghold of Taliban militants in southern Afghanistan, has been the scene of increasing insurgency over the past couple of months.
