In Uttar Pradesh the National General Secretary of ruling Bahujan Samaj Party Mr. Satish Chandra Misra said notices issued by the Allahabad High Court to the Chief Minister Ms. Mayawati and her cabinet colleague Mr. Naseemuddin Siddiqui in the Taj corridor case will be challenged in the Supreme Court. He said three writs filed earlier in the Apex court on this issue were rejected by the court.<br/><br/>A division bench of the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has issued notices after hearing PILs challenging the special CBI court order dated June 5, 2007 by which the proceedings were dropped against the two in the case. The court has accepted the PILs for hearing.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has also issued notices to Lucknow Development Authority vice Chairman and joint director, land acquisition directing to appear in person on the 21st of next month in a contempt case. The petitioner has alleged that despite the court's order for status quo some activities were being carried out around the Ramabai Rally Sthal, including inviting tenders for the same.
