Taiwan has reacted to the remarks made by the US President Donald Trump that he will honor the 'One China' policy. A spokesperson of the President, Tsai Ing-wen, said in a statement that Taiwan has kept close contact with the US side over the matter. <br/><br/>He said, United States is one of Taiwan's most important friends, and that the island understands the US commitment to the peace and stability of East Asia. President Trump on Thursday had agreed to honour the America's One China policy by acknowledging that China has sovereignty over self-ruled Taiwan.
