Three former Karnataka Ministers accused of watching porn in the legislative Assembly have sought extension of time by a week to file reply to show-cause notices issued by the Speaker K G Bopaiah. Lakshman S Savadi, C C Patil and J Krishna Palemar have sent a letter to the Legislative Assembly Secretariat in this regard.The Speaker had asked them to file their reply by today morning.He has announced formation of a seven-member House Committee to probe the issue. The Committee has to submit a report to the Speaker by March 12.The Opposition Congress and JDS have argued that there was no need for a house panel as the three former Ministers have already made admissions about the episode and demanded their immediate disqualification.Meanwhile UNI reports that acting on a private complaint filed by Advocate Dharmapal Gowda, the Eighth Additional City Metropolitican Magistrate court has ordered Vidhana Soudha Police Station Sub-Inspector to investigate and submit a report on the charges against tainted MLAs by February 27.
