Centre imposes stock limit on wheat to curb hoarding

With a view to managing overall food security and preventing hoarding and unscrupulous speculation, the Centre has imposed stock limits on Wheat applicable to traders and wholesalers, retailers, big Chain retailers and processors for all States and Union Territories.

Over 180 lakh tonnes of wheat procured so far from 5 States in Rabi Marketing Season 2022-23

More than one hundred eighty lakh tonnes of wheat have been procured so far from five states in the Rabi Marketing Season 2022-23. These states are  Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Himachal prdaesh.
