Virat Kohli becomes fastest batsman to score 20,000 runs

India captain Virat Kohli today became the fastest batsman to reach 20,000 international runs, eclipsing batting greats Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara. Kohli reached the milestone in only his 417th international innings. Virat Kohli fined 25% of his match fee for aggressive appealing

Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been fined 25 per cent of his match fee for aggressive appealing during World Cup match against Afghanistan at Southampton on Saturday. Cricket World Cup: Indian team's practice session called off due to rain

The Indian Cricket team's practice session was today called off due to rain, leaving the Virat Kohli-led side with only one day to train ahead of Sunday's big-ticket World Cup showdown with Australia in London.   India travelled to London from Southampton yesterday, a day after beating South Africa by six wickets in their tournament opener. The rain had also forced India to cancel their optional practice on the eve of the game against South Africa at the Hampshire Bowl.

Virat Kohli maintains No 1 spot in ICC rankings

India Captain Virat Kohli has maintained his number one position in the latest ICC batsmen rankings.  Cheteshwar Pujara has gained a spot to be third, following his man of the series performance in India's maiden Cricket Test series win in Australia.  Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has jumped as many as 21 places to be 17th, the joint-highest by a specialist India wicketkeeper along with Farokh Engineer, who did so in January 1973. Virat Kohli maintains top spot in ICC Test rankings

In the latest ICC cricket rankings, India Captain Virat Kohli maintains his top spot.  Cheteshwar Pujara's knocks of 123 and 71 were the cornerstone of India's victory in the opening Test against Australia at the Adelaide Oval.  This has given him the career-best ranking to top five. India fast bowler Bumrah has achieved a career-high ranking of 33rd, after his three for 47 and three for 68 at Adelaide which helped him to rise five places.
