US Indices Close Higher: Nasdaq Surges 2.2%, S&P 500 Jumps 1.3%

The three major US indices ended higher yesterday. The Nasdaq recorded 2.2 percent gain as a fall in Treasury yields helped lift megacap stocks. The S&P 500 jumped 1.3 percent. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.6 percent as a sharp drop in Boeing shares kept gains on the Dow Industrials in check.
