Rupee ends at 83.24 against the US dollar

In the forex market, the Indian rupee today ended at 83 rupees and 24 paise against the US dollar.    The dollar index, which indicates the US currency's strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, was trading flat at 104.42 in intra-day trade.
