U.S. Stocks Stable; Dow Jones Slightly Down, S&P 500 and Nasdaq Slightly Up

U.S. stocks ended nearly flat yesterday as investors awaited key economic indicators, particularly inflation data, which could influence the Federal Reserve's decision regarding interest rates. The Dow Jones ended 0.25 percent down. On the other hand the S&P 500 finished 0.17 percent up and the Nasdaq Composite index closed 0.37 percent up.
