U.S. stocks fall ahead of Fed meeting

U.S. stocks fell yesterday on worries about the Omicron coronavirus variant ahead of a Federal Reserve meeting later this week. The Dow Jones and the S&P 500, both plunged 0.9 percent and the Nasdaq Composite index tumbled 1.4 percent.
