Sugar Production in current sugar season 2021-22 is expected to be 13% higher than previous sugar season

Sugar production in the current sugar season is expected to be 13 percent higher than the previous sugar season. Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution said, as per the revised estimates, production of sugar is estimated to be about 350 lakh metric tonnes LMT against estimated domestic consumption of about 278 LMT.
