Sports Minister Anurag Thakur expresses grief on demise of renowned athletics coach Om Nambiar

Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has expressed grief on the demise of renowned athletics coach Om Nambiar.   In a tweet, he said, Om Nambiar trained many prominent Indian athletes, including PT Usha.   Sports Minister said, his contribution to Indian sports will always be remembered.   Om Nambiar was honoured with the very first Dronacharya Award in 1985 along with two other coaches. He passed away yesterday at the age of 89.
