SAI issues SOP to resume sports training after relaxation in lockdown guidelines

Sports Authority of India has issued a Standard Operating Procedure for resumption of training, following relaxation in lockdown guidelines. Under the SOP, athletes resuming training at SAI centres across the country will have to sign consent forms, acknowledging risks associated with restarting practice amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. All national camps except those preparing for Olympics postponed due to COVID-19

Sports Authority of India, SAI has decided to suspend academic training in National Centre of Excellence and Sports Trainning Centres till further orders in view of COVID-19. Sports Minister's Office said, all national camps will be postponed except for those where athletes are being trained for 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Hockey India names 33 probables for senior men's national coaching camp

SAI withdraws controversial order to ban parents, coaches from shooting range

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) today withdrew its controversial circular to ban parents and personal coaches of shooters from the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi during practice. Recently, an order issued by the authorities at the shooting range restricted the movement of parents and coaches inside the range, leading to a controversy. As per international guidelines, they will, however, be not allowed on Field of Play.
